Five-Star Leadership Training

The challenge with “One and Done” training sessions, is we often overload the attendees with great information, (tools, tips, strategies as well as new perspectives) that are designed to get everyone really excited about creating and managing a five-star leadership team.

Then we go back to work and find everything that has happened in our facilities, while we’ve been gone, is impatiently waiting. There are dozens of phone messages, even more emails and the line of employees who “need to talk” now wraps around the lobby.

This program is designed to challenge, engage, inspire and educate all levels of leadership within your organization, from your most seasoned managers, to your super-workers, who are looking to join the management team, this program provides all the tools and the strategies they will need to become effective managers.

The Five-Star Leadership Training Program is a twelve (12) month program that rotates every other month, for a total of six (6) full day management development workshops a year.

Housekeeping as a Business

On average, housekeeping (in long-term care) makes up between 15%-20% of the total budget. Until recently, housekeeping has been looked at as a necessary evil; a fixed cost. However, with increased regulations, stronger infection control guidelines, limited budgets, a competitive market place and higher expectations from residents and their family members, it has become necessary to look at housekeeping differently: i.e. as a business. This seminar breaks down a typical housekeeping department (in long-term care), into four parts: Management, Work Loading, Tracking (and Inspections) and Financials.
